Dissapearing zeros?

's Computer Specifications

I am trying to type a postal code starting with two zeros, but Word removes
them. What is the purpose of this kind of AI?

I don't see anything of the sort here. Mail merges from Excel may strip
leading zeroes, but that's a different issue.
