Displays "PAGE" all over it

How do I remove the word "PAGE 1", "PAGE 2," etc from displaying on the
screen and printouts from excel. It's like a grey 'watermark' on the
background and I can't get it off!

      1st Apr 2008
Click VIEW in the menu and select NORMAL. You're currently in Page Break
Preview mode.
