Access 2002

I have a master file with some "location codes" in another table. The
code can be used to lookup a "location name" in a second table. I need
to be able to maintain the master table (simple form) but I need to
see the (looked up) location name while doing it.

I thought I'd be able to create a query to cross both tables, then
create a form based on it and maintain the master file with the looked
up code displayed. But, when I create this form, it's locked out from
making any changes. Strange.

What's the simplest way to get this field form the second table looked
up and displayed with the first table?

The simplest way is to use Dlookup in a calculated control.
