Displaying Movies on TV?

How come when i attach my TV to the S-Video output of my Radeon 9600 pro if
I play a movie the screen is just black and there appears to be nothing
playin whereas there actually is, have i missed something?

Is the desktop extended onto the second display? It should not be, and
clone mode (in overlay tab) should be set to theatre, in most cases.

Yep, with the newer cat drivers the TV out option has gained some sophistication. Not necessarily a no brainer,,,then there's
hydra............

Have you gone into the ATI software and enabled your TV set? It's not
automatic.
