hi there i'm having alot of trouble trying to display data within
column.

here is a screenshot of what i am doing:

the x axis is phase so each column in the graph are phases. the y axi
is time - how long each phase lasts.

but within each of the phases (columns) i would like to display data
the final data column in the spreadsheet - "% of cost in phase". so th
phase (column) is broken down into its deliverables (the 2nd data colum
in spreadsheet) according to % cost in phase (final data column i
spreadsheet)

i have been searching through the newsgroup and forum.. though the dat
i want to display within the column does not relate to the y axis so
stacked graph isn't what i am after..

any help would be greatly appreciated.. thank you!

Hi,

You need a couple of extra columns to calculate the percentages within
the Requirements and Design bars.
Enter this formula in E2: =($B$21/100)*D2
copy it down to E7
Enter this formula in F8: =($B$22/100)*D8
copy it down to F18

Select cells B2:B18,E2:F18 and plot as stacked column plotting by rows.
You can use the source data dialog to add the category labels from E1:F1
