Recently saw an illustration of method to display .bmp and .jpg format in
Access Forms /Reports from an old MSDeveloper App string by Ken Sheridan.
This seems to work just fine for pictures, but cant get how to display Word
docs in the same way.
The link for the app was
http://community.compuserve.com/n/pf...g=ws-msdevapps
Any explanation as to how to do this is appreciated.

I forgot to add that I'd like the word doc to appear on an access report, as
works for the bmp & jpg files, not just to open as a word doc.

You could use an Object Frame control (you'll find them in the toolbox) but
you need to beware of a couple of things:

1. Word needs to be installed for this to work

2. The control will not resize if the Word document is too big for it,
the document will simply be clipped.

Really, the best program for printing Word documents is Word.

Bcap;
Looks like the best format would be to use Object Frame, as all information
is short. I'm having trouble figuring how to show path to a .doc or .txt
file to put it into object frame. Aren't these only for bmp or . jpg files?
Any help is appreciated in advance.
