display wont go over 640*480

's Computer Specifications

i just re-installed XP and my monitor wont display over 640*480 pixels with
16 bit colour, and i've tried going into the advanced tab to change monitor
properties but that is greyed out (i am using a 17" CRT monitor). can someone
please help!

You need to reinstall the drivers for your video card.
