I was wondering if anyone knew how to display two videos on the screen at the
same time. Kinda like having two situations occurring at the same time being
shown on half the screen for each.
I will really appreciate if anyone has any idea of how to do it or which
other software I can make use of.

You could try out www.windowsmoviemakers.net and read some of the various
sections which you are interested in. ''Considerate Guy' once posted an xml
that is a transition for ''side by side''......copy the xml below and paste
it into notepad (start, programs, accessories, notepad). Then save as (with
a name such as sidebyside.xml.... the xml extention is important) into your
C:/ Program Files/ Movie Maker/ Shared / AddOnTFX (make the addontfx
folder if one does not exist). The next time you open Movie Maker look for
''sidebyside'' in your 'transitions'.....you then put this transition between
your two video clips....and drag the right on into the left one as far as you
need to, and the playback will show both vids 'side by side'...good
luck...highlight and right click then, copy/paste/save all of the below file
as mentioned above. Then later go check out the forums. Have fun.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Transitions>
<TransitionDLL guid="{F088DE73-BDD0-4E3C-81F8-6D32F4FE9D28}" >
<Transition name="Side by Side" iconid="41"
comment="DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Stretch">
<Param name="stretchStyle" value="PUSH" />
<Param name="progress" value="0.5" />
</Transition>
</TransitionDLL>
</Transitions>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

I tried this with no luck. I created the new folder, copied the script to
notepad then saved as an XML file. Then I opened MM, put a clip on the time
line then put another clip next to the first then went to my video
transitions but did not find a "side by side" transition. What am I doing
wrong?

Nevermind. I couldn't see it by just closing MM then restarting but I can see
it now after I rebooted my machine.

I was able to get this to work, however, i am only able to have the two videos playing at the same time for one clip before. Is there any possible way to combine clips so that i can have two different things playing throughout the entire movie
