While playing games on my PC kids pressed some random
combination of keys which turned my monitor's display
sideways! I just don't know how to correct it. all lines
all windows are now vertical instead of horizontal. I am
told one can rotate the display orientation in windows
with some key combination but I don't know which one. Can
anyone help?

Open Control Panel, open Display, go to the Settings tab, click advanced and
see if one of the tabs has an option to change the display orientation. If
not, check the controls on your monitor as it may have a control that will
allow to change display orientation.
