display smaller font size for appointments in month view

Please tell me how to view a smaller font size on month view calendar
appointments. The fonts are too large and I can hardly see the appointment
at all because if I type: "dinner with jay" in the box, the only thing that
shows is dinner..
I need a smaller font size so that I can read more on the month view display
