I bought a new computer which has a screen resolution of 1280x800.

I can't seem to get a PPT slide to fill the screen. Even though I go to Slide
Show and set the resolution to 1280x800, I still get black bars on the edges of
the screen.

Is it possible to fill a 1280x800 screen using PPT XP?

Fred

You have two choices, each with its disadvantages:
1. Go to the advanced display properties and find a setting that fills
content to the screen size (by distorting/stretching to fill full width).
2. Create a custom presentation with a page setup that matches your screen
dimension (page setup = 12.5" x 7.8"), which will look great on the laptop,
but not fit computers/projectors with other size...

Thanks for your help. I think I'll stick with the black lines, as I need to use
a projector on this project.

If you leave the file set to OnScreen Show, it should show fine on the
projector.
