Hi there folks,

I am sorry if I've cross posted to inappropriate groups.

I've used riprep on an image which used 16-bit color as its default.
However, on deploying the image to machines the color is set to 256colours.

is there a regkey that I can set that will allow the deployed machines to
use 16bit colour and not 256?

thanks

A

Can you not sort this out in the answerfile?? If not then
your limits may be set by the maximum settings of the
video card on the target machine.

My initial question would be is the hardware identical, if so, then my next
question would be are you using 3rd party unsigned drivers for the video
card. You cannot use unsigned 3rd party drivers that are "inbox" or windows
will not install your driver. Check the setupapi.log on the client machine
for clues to why the driver is failing to load. You can also refer to KB
254078 for additional information.
