Display Setting problems

Hey, can i have someone's help i seem to have a roblem
with my other computer, its display settings don't seem
to work, i can perfectly see the windows XP load but when
it omce ot choosing the user log it seems to go and black
and this message pops up "Please Check your PC Display
Settings"
Thnx fot the help
