Hi ,
I have both the edges cut off and in black on my screen remaining screen is
ok as per desktop background settings.

It was ok until yesterday , today in the morning wheni switched on the
display is changed.

I have checked my display settings and is as follows.

Screen resolution is 1024 x 768

Please let me know what need to be done to get the full screen.

Thanks in advance

Try changing it to: 1280 x 1024, if your graphics takes that range

Or, more precisely, examine the documentation for the monitor to determine
what its native resolution is and then set your video to that.
