I just upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro and my laptop screen
is looking bad, oversized icons, grainy images etc... I
have tried changing display options, resolution, and color
but there is only one opinion "16 color" and two
resolutions. No noticable difference.

Dont worry larry im in the position as you on my home
computer i just upgraded to win 2000 pro too and I just
cant get my video card working its really bad in just 16
colours, and it looks like win 2000 doesnt support my
video card at all, which is crap on microsofts part .

Microsoft DOESN'T write VIDEO DRIVERS. That is the resonsibility of the
VIDEO CARD MANUFACTURER. Now if you go get the PROPER Widows 2000 driver
from the video card manufacturer's website and install it you will be
able to use more colors. Now if the MANUFACTURER doen't have a VIDEO
DRIVER for Windows 2000, then you will have to go buy a better video card.
