Correct, this is not possible.
You could include all the series, and then format the unwanted series with
no fill/lines and no legend entry, but your data table would still have the
numbers for the series that you can see.
Note that you can insert a text box into a graph, and link it to a cell
(which might help you bring in the info you want). Simply create a text box,
type "=", and then click on the cell you want to link to.
