Display format in explorer

I seem to have lost the left hand navigation panel when displaying any
folders - thats the panel that allows you to click on items such as My
computer, my desktop etc - any thoughts on how to get this are to display
properly again ?

In Windows Explorer select View, Explorer bar and Folders.

Under Tools | Folder Options | General tab | click the Show Common Tasks
button near the top.

To solve this problem, click on my Documents, click on Tool and on the
General Tab under Tasks select Show preveiw and filters radio button
