I want to use Front Page 2000 to edit some .css and .asp files... if I can.

The files all start with the under-bar character like _myfile.css or
_myfile.asp.

But, FP2k doesn't display files starting with the under-bar character.

1 - Can I get it to display files starting with the underbar?
2 - Is it OK to edit text files with FrontPage ?
(If I don't then FP doesn't know they are changed and won't upload them.)

thanks for help.

To see the underscore files, choose Web Settings from the Tools menu, click
the Advanced tab, and select Show Hidden Files And Folders.

In FP2000, opening a .txt file should export a copy of the file and open it
in Notepad. Then, whenever you go back to FrontPage, FrontPage will check the
exported file's timestamp and re-import the file if it's changed. This should
update the timestamp in FrontPage so the file uploads.

If you go around FrontPage and open the text file directly, you'll need to
choose Recalculate Hyperlinks from the Tools menu before you publish.
