Whenever I try to use the display options on the desktop
(right click on the desktop and then properties), it
gives me the error message "Your system administrator
disabled the display control panel". I think I might have
deleted something and might need to download some new
drivers. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mat,

Type at start >> run REGEDIT and press enter. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

On the right pane look for the value name 'NoDispCPL' and delete it. This should fix your problem.

Hi,

Are you by any chance on a university/work computer where the following features have been disabled
by the Admin ? If so then you might not want to go against the university/company policies.

If this is not the case, then you may download the following automated edit and run it:

Lift restrictions - TM, regedit and CMD (Line 275, left column)
