Been there, read that.
I can connect it, but how do I set it up in Vista
to make it output to the TV?

If you have a desktop, you shouldn't need to do anything.
If you have a laptop, you may have to toggle the alternate display by
pressing and holding your [Fn] key and pressing F4, or F5, or another F#
key. It probably looks like a TV screen.

Google is your friend. There are many more links to the subject on the
first Google page, including several video tutorials. Also look in
"Windows Media Center" help system on your Vista machine. And take a
look at your TV set's manual.

Thanks for the great info. The problem I was having
was that I hadn't connected the PC to the VGA port
on the TV, so the settings were not being shown on the PC.

I connected it with a 15-pin VGA cable that
came with my new TV.
I'll buy more for my other TVs from monoprice.com
and leave them connected so I can just connect a
laptop to them.

being curious about was how you had them connected previously.

I previously connected them via RCA (composite) cables to the TV ports
on the front of the TV. This isw much easier and I can leave the cable
permanentlt connected. CB
