How to Display Apps on Right-Click in Window Explorer

Hi all,

I'm sure I once knew how to do this, but the mind doesn't always retain what
it learns.

In XP Windows Explorer, if I right-click on a blank area in the right-side
pane, there is a context menu that displays. When I slide the pointer to the
NEW option, there is another menu that contains a list of applications that
can be invoked.

My question is: How do I add applications to those already showing in the
list?

Thanks.

Alan

Right click, click Choose a Program... and choose one and use it. That
program will be added to the right click menu.

You might want to look at this article.

Add items to the New menu (aka ShellNew entries)

There's more info on this subject here.

Add or remove entries in the New objects list (ShellNew)

Good luck

Thanks for your replies, Nepatsfan and Poprivet.

I also discovered earlier today that I could use the Tweak UI application to
add items.

So now I have a bunch of ways. I just need to remember ONE of them the next
time I want to add an app. :>
