I am reinstalling compaq presario 1725AP with windows 2000
without using the quickrestore. My display adapter is ATI
Mobility Radeon and after i install this driver, the
system will not restart and instead it would go to a stop
screen with "stop: C0000263 {Driver entry point not found}
System32\Drivers\ati2mtag.sys device driver could not
locate the entry point videoportallocatebuffer in driver
videoprt.sys" message.

I would appreciate any help?

Reboot and hit F8 when Windows offers it, then choose either
LastKnownGoodConfig or VGA mode. Reinstall ATI driver.

Thanks for your reply.

I did that to remove the driver and When I reinstall it
will still occur. I think it is a customised version of
ATI Mobility Radeon for the Compaq Presario solely for
Windows XP. If I use windows XP from Quick restore
everything works fine. I gave up installing display
adapter in 2000 and decided to restore Windows XP.

Eventually I need to resolve this when i have more time.

Thanks again for your reply.

Cheers!

There is not so many options, one driver is Compaq's and the other one is
ATI.
