I have just installed Outlook 2007 on a freshly configured computer. I'm
using POP3 email and the calendar is stored locally. Whenever I restart
Outlook, it brings up a long list of reminders that I've already dismissed.
The list of course is getting longer and longer as new calendar items come
and go. Seems like a bug, but perhaps there is some strange setup thing that
one can do to ensure that the 'dismiss' button works as expected?

Have you tried starting Outlook with the /cleanreminders command line
switch? (Only have to do this once)

How to:
start > run > outlook.exe /cleanreminders > ok
