I have tried the /cleanreminders switch and creating a new profile.

Is there anything I should try?

TIA

John

Do you use a PST or connect to an Exchange server?

Run a repair of your PST file. Make sure you see all hidden files and folders
(use Windows Explorer to unhide them (Tools > Folder Options), Locate your
PST and then do a search for scanpst.exe. Double-click that file, browse to
your PST and follow the instructions. Repeat scanning until no errors are
found.

Note: leave Outlook closed while you perform the scans.

Good luck and keep me posted.

Keep running the repair tool until no further errors are found in that case.

How many times is reasonable?

Will it get to a point that does not find errors?

If the repair tool is finding errors then there's some sort of corruption. As
many times as required is what you would need to do but there may come a time
when you'll want to consider creating a new PST.

You wouldn't want to import anything from your old PST but you can drag and
drop items into it. I would honestly leave out your calendar however,
especially old items.

How about if I export from the PST and then import. Is that still garbage

never export to or import from a PST. Create a new one, make it your
delivery location (which will require an Outlook restart), then open each
default folder in the old PST and copy its contents to the corresponding
default folder in the new PST. Note that I didn't say copy the folders
themselves, but their contents. If you have an NON-default folders created,
then you can copy the folders themselves.
