I must have done something stupid when merging partions on an 80 gig Maxtor
drive using PartitionMagic 8.0 under Win 2000 professional. E: & F: to E:
.... G: and H: to F:. I can no longer access the drives from explorer.
Instead I get message that the drioves are not formatted. I am able to
browse the new F: drive from
PartitionMagic No files appear when I try to browse E:. Attempting to view
properties for E: generates error 1532, Too Many Clusters and error 1520
externa; attribute header mismatch. Viewing affected drive using Windows
disk manager shows E: and F: but with smaller space allocation than shpwn in
PartitionMagic and "free space" that totals out correctly to elqual the 80
gig size of physical drive.

No, I don't have complete backup. And unfortunatly the files are critical.

PartitionMagic dump follows.

NOTE -- Following report shows cluster size of 8 for both physical drives.
Selecting option under PartitionMagic to adjust cluster size shows "current"
size as 4. I have chosen NOT to adjust cluster size fearing that it might
cause rather than solve problem.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Bill
