DiskOnChip boot problems

I have an XPE image file that boots properly from two
different DiskOnChip models, but fails to boot on a third
type (different sizes, same family). I have followed the
Chip makers directions and prepared each Chip using the
NTFS file system. For the ones that fail, I get a blue
screen with error 7B. Since the image works for some of
the devices, I don't believe it is a basic design
problem. Has anyone seen similar symptoms?

Bill,

Yes, we have seen this issue. We had complete success booting to DOCs
right out of the builder for a period of several months and then began
seeing the same thing you talk about here. Always with the same error
code...7B. We still have not found the reason but are working around
the issue by booting to hard drives first for the FBA sequence and
then porting the image to our DOCs.

I have had problems with images booting on disk on chips
always got the stop 7B error.
The way I got around it was after building the image,
no matter which Diskonchip component I used from the
target desinger database, replacing the tffsport.sys file
in the windows\system32\drivers directory with the older
version from Msystems. This older version is dated
8/17/2001 and has a file size of 77,184.
after copying this file over the one put in by target
desinger and then first booting, I had no problems.
