Try formatting the floppy in 2K and see if it is accessed in both
OS's. As I recall, the older dos based OSs didn't always set the
media bit when formatting floppies (or something along those lines)
and then when the more recent M$ stuff looked for it and didn't find
it, they wanted to format it. Thought it only happened with the real
DOS stuff but perhaps 9x falls prey to it also.
