I have this 150 GB harddisk which contains one partiton of 15GB holding the
OS. Now I cannot partition the rest using Logical Disk Manager.

Is the size a problem,?

XP SP1, the drive is Primary Master, Basic Disk

Suggestions?

Have you gone to "My Computer" and R-clicked the second drive and tried
"format" from there?

I misread your OP. You cannot partition from within XP. You will have to
either re-format and partition from there or use 3rd party software to
partition. Partition Magic is one application you may consider.

Is the drive seen as 150G under disk managment ??

Remember you need SP1 and also you need to enable 48 bit lba.
See this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp

Your motherboard need to support large drives.

If you already have a 15 G partition, you need to create an extended
partition and then logic drives

If the one partition is 150GB, then you can not re-partition since there is
not "free" space. If you wish to re-partition without reformatting, buy
Partition Magic.

I not sure! Could be a typo (he might have missed entering the 0)?
