Hi

I recently installed gtr racing game in my nec i-select laptop.I have
windows xp home and 1024 ram.
When i launch the game it keeps on telling me that i have in.sufficient disk
swap space or virual memory detected. The virtual memory was changed to 2
gig, but it still gives me the same error message.

Thanks

How much free space do you have on your hard drive?

In addition to Paul's question, have you perchance disabled the Indexing
Service in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services? There are some game
which simply refuse to function properly if Indexing is disabled. On the
virtual memory in Windows XP, you may want to check this article from the
late Alex Nichol, who was an outstanding MVP:

Hi Chris
Thanks for replying. I tried all of the above and still get the same message.
The message header says something about direct 3d.

Thanks

Perhaps your graphics card doesn't support it? I don't know what card your
computer has. Details would be helpful.

Hi okkawalla,

If that's the GTR racing game I'm thinking of, it's video requirements are
"3D Accelerator DirectX 8.1 compliant 32 MB AGP +". It's possible
that the game is complaining that your video card doesn't have enough
built in memory to handle the requirements of the game?
