Sadly, it might have..... I was just trying to test a simple (as well as
painless, and free) solution.
If you *do* boot with the XP Home CD, does it recognize the drive? (Make
your it looks for CD-Rom before HD when booting)
You may be able to do a Repait installation (not a RE-installation... but
Repair).
If the CD-ROM boot doesn't see the hard drive, than you may well have a
goner.
