Couldn't find any previous posts regarding this issue as
follows:

In Windows XP Professional, I have noticed that fixed or
removable cards inserted into the PCMCIA slot,Windows XP
Professional will automatically set that disk's policy
to "Optimize for quick removal". This is good if we don't
want the user to right click on the task bar and
perform "Safely Remove Hardware". Is this also true for
Windows XP Embedded? I know both binaries are the same,
but since I cannot see the disk properties within WXPe, I
cannot verify if this is true or not. Can someone tell me:

1. Do I need a special component to see the disk
properties in my TD project?

2. Someone at MS can verify with me that this default
setting in WXP Pro is the same as WXPe?

BTW: the cards that I tested are: Hagiwara (Toshiba) CF
cards (formatted with NTFS compression) and Panasonic ATA
Memory cards (formatted in OS2 that is recognized as FAT).

Thanks.
