Disk partition can't find it.

I have been trying to partition my drive with the GUI in Disk management. Is
there something I am missing? I can only do it through the command line.

If the disk already has a partition on it that take up to complete capacity,
you can not create a new partition with the built-in XP tools. Disk
Management and the command line utilities in XP do not allow to re-sizing of
partitions. You can only use these if there is un-allocated disk space
available.

Look at Partition Magic if you need to re-size existing partitions.

chkpart/? or ftype/? or recover/?
