Hello - I have a Western Digital WD1800 drive that was
running fine on my old motherboard (pIII). I changed
motherboards and now the operating system w2k sp4 doesn't
seem to recognize this drive. Two strange things 1.When
I go into explorer and click on the drive - I get a
message saying "The disk is not formatted. Would you
like to format now" Of course I DON'T because there is
data on that disk. Additionally when I go in =to disk
management/computer management it shows the capacity of
7.88 gb - should be 180 gb. The BIOS is recognizing the
full capacity and mode is set to AUTO. Any specific help
is appreciated.
