'Disk not formatted' message when I click either CD or Floppy

I have had my system for a while and never had any problems. I have a
CD-ROM and a CD-RW. Both used to work fine.

I used a USB digital camera reader to download some pictures. Ever
since, my Floppy and both CD-ROMs give me the 'Disk not formatted'
message when I click on them.

I have removed, uninstalled, and then re-added both. Still no luck.
I can see them in Explorer and even right click and eject the drive.
It will also play an audio CD, but gives me 'not formatted' when I
click to see the tracks.

Please help! Do you think I fried my mother board removing and
inserting the USB? Could my IR settings be messed up?
