Disk Manager - NTFS Mounted Volume not mounted

We have a windows 2000 Server with SP 3. We have created
several NTFS Mount Points. When we go into the disk
manager and look at a volume's "Drive Letter Paths" it is
blank. At the command line running "mountvol" does not
report the mount either. However if we go to the directory
and run mountvol c:\mountpt the volume information is
returned. In addition, the data is still available on the
suspect volume. We have several volumes that are working
as expected and 2 that behave as described. Question:
What could cause this and what actions could we take to
correct it?

Thanks for your time.
