Hi
Have a windows 200Sp4 (+rollup) server - all working okay but when I go into
disk management none of the 2 Hard drives appear - all i can see is the CD
drive. You can see the drives in Defrag/explorer/DOS and server is working
fine. Is there a DLL I need to reregister to get these disks to be visible?
Thanx in advance

Hmm... Someone will be along with a good answer in a moment but for now
could you check to see if the Logical Disk Manager and Logical Disk Manager
Administrative Services are running?

Thanks Galen, but both are running and have been restarted several times. The
disks are visible through other means (defrag/explorer) but not through disk
manager. have applied all recent patches, rebooted, nothing in the event log
ot indicate a prob...

It makes me wonder if maybe you have a problem with a corrupted MMC
(Microsoft Management Console) and it needs to be re-installed or even if
that's possible. That's something that *should* be covered by SFC so you
might consider a scan. I was hoping someone would come along and say they'd
seen this but, well, I haven't and no one else has popped in to say they
have either. I don't want to recommend removing the update though there's
one other problem that seems to be confirmed in that Word documents can't be
saved to a floppy in .DOC format after the update... (No wonder no one
noticed that problem ahead of time. <g>) Anyhow, I've Googled and Googled
with every search term. Maybe if we put something like "ping dave patrick"
in the subject line (he's a 2k guru) he'll know something on it. *chuckles*

That's got quite a few links on it but none of them seem to directly relate
to you.
