i've got a boot c: drive as primary-0, another ide drive
as primary-1. the primary-1 drive shows up as a dynamic
foreign drive when in disk management.
in trying to import the foreign drive, i get the following
pop-up dialog box saying:
"dmadmin.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created."
a message is created in the system event log saying:
"The Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service service
terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s). The
following corrective action will be taken in 0
milliseconds: No action."
bottom line, my foreign disk is not imported (30 gb of
data not accessible).
i still think this disk is recoverable (optimist?), but
searches through various search engines and ms support
sites have not provided a solution.
does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks.
