You should determine if your mirror disk is really bad
by doing this:
1. Format a floppy disk on some other Win2000 PC.
2. Copy these files hidden files to the floppy disk:
c:\ntldr
c:\ntdetect.com
c:\boot.ini
3. Disconnect Disk 0.
4. Make Disk 1 the primary master.
5. Boot the machine with the floppy disk.

If this does not work then you can manually clone Disk 0.
Here are a couple of methods:

a) Repartition & format Disk 1, then connect Disk 1 and
Disk 2 to the secondary IDE controller of some other
Win2000/XP disk. Now use xcopy.exe to copy all
files and folders from Disk 1 to Disk2. Use the right
switches to include hidden files, system files and file
permissions.

b) Repartition & format Disk 1, then boot the machine
with a Bart PE boot CD (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/#download)
and use xcopy.exe as above.
