Disk Format in Vista

Disk Format in vista takes longer time than other windows OS like XP and 2k.

Is there any technical reasons for this?

In most cases, the hard drives are larger.. ;-)

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply and the link.

I am not talking about the hard drives..

I am checking with the flash cards. When I format my 1GB Usb Stick with Xp
OS it took just 5 Sec, and I tried to format same USB with vista OS it took
4 Min to Format.

Maybe Vista takes newer NTFS version...
