I found many systems problem with XPe boot after 1 to 3
months working properly. Most of system shows
error "Ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupted". Systems were
shipped without UPS but with Disk EWF. I wonder it may
cause unexpected shutdown.
I duplicated it with automatic shutdown during copying
files from CProtect) to DNon-protect) and D: to C:,
then found the same error within 4 hours. After several
attempts, I succeeded to pass same test without any error
for 3 days after disabling "write cache" in disk drive in
device manager.

To protect any error after rebooting system, I selected
EWF but it failed and could not recover. Is there any
solution to avoid this problem?

Hello Sada,

This problem sound familiar, and probably it is not EWF related.
Probably it is not software related either.

We had similar problem with our device, it was using Windows XP Home,
without EWF of course but it is irrelevant to this problem.

We replaced device in field. And when it was brought back it was starting
and working fine. Few hours later it would not start (problems with
Ntoskrnl.exe or hal) like in field.
Later is started normally, and so on.
It was clear that this has nothing to do with software.

Then we tried to find damaged part with no luck either. Each component
worked fine. When we put back all components together and it worked and
still working. It is over the year now.

So only conclusion we made is that there are some lose junctions or dust
problems. In other word mystery.

Best regards,
Slobodan

hi, i am just curious that what boot media theat you using.
If it is a flash device then it might be reaching its life
time...
I have seen this problem too before, and one of its cause
is system/processor over heating...
