Disk Drive letter

My Slave drive is not showing in my computer but showing
in the Disk Manangement screen but with not drive letter.
It will not allow me to change or add the letter it will
only allow me to delete or change to a dynamic drive. I do
not want to loose date on the drive. How do I tell the
system that the drive is there?
