Hi,

I have a NTFS volume can't defragment by Windows 2000 disk defragmenter. I
have set the full control permission for administrators and system account
for this volume. It is still not worked. Another volume in same physical
disk can complete the disk defragment. Please advise.

Is it ok when you run scandisk on the said drive?

Yes, complete the chkdsk. No any error. I think it had set read-only volume
in WinXP. Do you know how I can remove the read-only volume in that volume?

So you have an WinXP volume that cannot be defrag by Windows 2000 tools.

No, I have no idea.

May be you have to ask your question again so that someone else can tend to
it.
