Hi,
(4) Open an elevated command prompt and run chkntfs /d from the prompt.
Click start, type CMD. Right click the entry that appears in the start menu
and choose "run as administrator" to open the elevated prompt.
If that fails to clear the dirty bit that causes the disk checker to run,
then I'd suspect your NIS software is causing it.
