I have Windows XP Pro and have been trying several times to
run Disk Cleanup from the System Tools menu. This feature
worked a few weeks ago but now when I try to run it, it
stalls less than a 1/4 of the way through at "compressing
old files." I've let it run for at least 30 minutes
thinking that perhaps it needs more time because there are
a lot of files to compress but it seems to just hang on
this step without moving foward thus nothing gets cleaned
off the disk - I end up giving up and shutting disk cleanup
down.

Whats happening??

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
