Disk Cleanup to remove the *.tmp files

The Disk Cleanup starts but stops after a little while. Any Suggestions?
Something simple to solve my problem. Not very technical. Afraid to play in
registry if need be. Using Windows 2000

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=812248 may help, I know it applies to
WinXP but will also work on Win2K
