Disk Cleanup: Does "Temporary Files" include files in %TMP% directory

Hello all:

I have over 500 files occupying well over 1.5 GB in my Temporary directory
(C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp). Moreover TMP and
TEMP shell variables are correctly pointed to above temp directory. Yet
Disk Cleanup states that size of "Temporary Files" is 0 KB and so is
"Temporary Offline Files".

So my question is: Are there any automated way of cleanup files in %TMP%
directory (other than manually deleting them).

Thank you,
John

D\load and install CCleaner from here. www.ccleaner.com
Use it WITH CARE. Only tick what you want it to clean. READ the help file.
best wishes..OJ

John,

Alter the "LastAccess" value for cleaning the Temporary files using Disk
Cleanup utility:

Ramesh:

Thank you for the link. Changing the "LastAccess" value to zero did the
trick.

Happy Holidays,
John
