Discussion Board Problem.

Help, my discussion board on www.dragonware.com needs
help. It seems that somehow the numbering of new posts is
not staying in the proper sequence and is resetting itself
and starting over with previous numbers and including that
previous post with the current post. This happened once
before and I had to make that board inactive (read only)
and now the new one has started to do the same thing. I am
at my wits end with this one and about ready to take the
discussion group section off the site. I would GREATLY
appreciate any advice or help with this.
Thank You,
John

Do you have the discussion web set up as a separate subweb so that it is not
overwritten when you publish updates from your local copy?

No I don't, it is part of the main web. I used the Wizard
to set up the discussion board and that is how it was set
up. Should the discussion board be in a sub-web and if so
how do I go about doing that at this point as I don't want
to do any further damage. Any help will be GREATLY
appreciated again!
Thanks, John

You can't move it, you would have to re-create it as subweb.

Can anyone explain (using the add webs GUI) how to add a subweb to an existing web site? If I leave the box unchecked that says "add to current site" will that do it?

Thanks!

Check the box, then add the name of the folder at the end of the path shown
for your current open web.
