Disappearing/Lost emails

Hi, I'm using Outlook 2007. There are times I don't receive emails people
say they've sent to me. Recently I happen to look at the Inbox while I
clicked Send/Receive and noticed that an email arrives in my Inbox and then
almost immediately disappears. I cannot find that email anywhere in my
subfolders, junk mail, the whole of Outlook! I have not set any rules for
incoming emails nor have I changed any other settings after installation.
How can I ensure that I won't continue to lose emails? Any way of finding
those lost emails?

Tturn on your Advanced Toolbar and check what View you are in. I guess you
may be in Unread Messages.

My "Current View" is "Messages".

My Inbox contains both read and unread messages.
As for new mails that I receive, sometimes they come and stay in my Inbox,
sometimes they come in and instantly disappears.

My SPAM filter does exactly that. Find out how your spam filter works - I
guess it will be the culprit. Ask your IT manager, ISP or Google the
software by name.

How do I check HOW my SPAM filter works? Does it mean that after adjusting
this SPAM filter I'll get back my mails? Is this the SPAM filter in Outlook
or in my Antivirus software? I'm using BitDefender.

I have just done a test. Someone sent me an email with attachment. That
email disappeared. He has just sent it fresh - exactly the same way same
words (ie not forward or reply but new), and I have now received it. Surely
if it was SPAM the first time it'll also be SPAM the second time?
