I downloaded Yankee Clipper, a clipboard program, when I got the new PC a
week ago. Its icon lives near the clock. After a day or two, the icon
disappeared, including from the hidden icon area. It reappeared the next day
after rebooting following the previous night's shutdown.
So I customized the taskbar to always show this icon. It looked like that
was doing the job for four or five days until it again disappeared today. A
restart brought it back from the dead and the taskbar properties showed that
it was still marked to always show.
Any ideas?
Additional information:
1) I ran Ad-Aware and Spybot earlier today
2) For the first time today, I got three or four error messages which I
hadn't seen before. I can't remember the details, but a couple came while
running the Works spreadsheet and another while running Firefox, which
forced that program to be closed. All the messages were in little windows
which offered to report the error to Microsoft.
