Disappearing emails in Outlook 2007

I've read previous posts on this problem but couldn't come up with any
solution to my problem. I use Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2003 running on SBS
2003. I've set up my email to be delivered to Personal Folders. However,
all my Exchange email is not showing and when I go to check my Exchange
mailbox, there's nothing and when I go to "recover deleted items" I find all
email there. I tried to have my email delivered to my mailbox instead of
Personal Folders and it got worse as I sometimes see an email come in and
disappear before I even get the chance to open it. "Messages" is checked on
Current view and auto archive disabled. Anyone found a solution to this?
Thanks in advance for any assistance I may get to this very frustrating
experience.

Probably because you have a PST as the delivery location and that's why
everything gets removed from the mailbox.

Defined "tried to". What didn't work, specifically? How did you "try"

Thank you Brian for your response. Yes I see the path ends with
"Outlook.pst." How is it supposed to be and what can I do to change that?

After reading from previous posts, I changed "current view" to "messages"
and also disabled email scanning from my anti-virus software and nothing
seemed to work. Problem is that even when I choose my email to be delivered
to "Personal Folders" my Exchange still can only be found if I highlight
Inbox of my mailbox and go to recover deleted items. Again thank you for
helping me to resolve this.

Click Tools>Account Settings>Data Files tab. Do you see your mailbox there?
If so, select it as the delivery location. Stop and restart Outlook.

Hi Brian,

I can't thank you well enough. For the first time I had a good sleep last
night after following your instructions (thought I'd done that before but
didn't work) and it worked. I waited this long to respond as I wanted to
make sure that I'd go to bed and wake up with all my emails in my Inbox and
for sure they were all there, plus the new ones that came overnight. My
problem now (which is minor compared to the one I had) is that I get double
copies (duplicates) of the emails. Now I'm not sure what I need to configure
to have onle one copy delivered. As I said, this is minor as I can always
delete the other copy as long as I have all my emails. Again, thank you so
much.

While viewing your Inbox, press Alt-Ctrl-S. Select your Send/Receive group
(probably "All Accounts") and click Edit. How many accounts are defined in
the left pane?

I pressed Alt-Ctrl-S while viewing the Inbox and all I got was a window that
gave me the HP Support Informatin (model #, product #, serial #, etc.). I'm
using Outlook 2007 on Vista Business 32 bit. I don't know if that may have
anything to do with that.

That doesn't sounds correct. Try it a different way. Can you click
Tools>Send/Receive>Send/Receive Settings>Define Send/Receive Groups? I'm
not at my OL 2007 system right now, so can't check if that's the correct
manu path.

That's the correct menu path. On the left I found Microsoft Exchange,
mail.comcast.net, Fax Mail Transport, and RSS. Thank you.

Are you receiving your Comcast mail via the Exchange account and the Comcast
account, perchance?
